Step 1. Sign into your iCloud account with the use of your Apple ID and Password. Go to contacts to go through your list of contacts.
Step 2. On the bottom-left corner, you will find the addition sign. Click on New Group from the popup menu. Otherwise you can also try to double-click on the gray space to instantly create a group.
Step 3. To save the newly created group, click anywhere apart from the text box. For changing the name of the group, you can double click it and write the name as you wish to keep.
Step 4. If you wish to add contacts to a group you desire, choose all contacts from contact list. After that, select and drag the contacts you desire into the group chosen.
Step 5. Your groups then automatically get synced with your iPhone’s contact list. When you want to use the new group, you can tap the Contacts icon on your iPhone and then select the desired group and click done.
Tips. Deletion – To Delete a group, or a contact from the group, select it and click on the gear icon on the bottom left and select Delete. It must be noted that deletion of a group doesn’t delete the contacts therewith.
In case you delete the group by accident, and wish to restore it, you can always go back to iCloud and initial iteration of your contact list can be restored.
